The painting has been cleaned. When viewed under UV light there is some touching up along the upper edge and down the right hand side, and minor small spots elswhere. There is a small scuff resulting in loss of paint lower left. No signature has been found. Faint stretcher marks on the back. The canvas is clean with a stencilled stock number and indistinct inscription (see images). The frame has minor knocks and damages to the extremities and some light repairs and has been 're-gilded'.
