George I walnut long stool, circa 1720 and later, upholstered seat raised on cabriole legs, acanthus carved knees and hairy paw feet, width 89cm, depth 51cm, height 43cm

More Information

Whilst elements of this stool are early 18th Century we believe the legs to be much later, possibly 20th Century. Around the frame of the seat there are small nibbles to the veneer on the lower edge, Replacement patches and old woodworm evident on the underside (see images). The legs have numerous knocks and scrapes to the extremities as do the feet. Upholstery is relatively new and is in good condition. Patina is generally good.
