Set of twelve Regency mahogany bar back dining chairs, circa 1820, composed of two carvers and ten singles, each having a drop in seat with either blue tapestry or leather finish, raised on tapered square legs

More Information

One of the carvers has visible repairs where the uprights on the back have been pinned. There is also a repaired break in the bar back, also pinned. The other carver is a little faded. Of the singles, three have tapestry seats matching the carvers, the others have leather pads which are now dried and worn. One of the singles has a break to the centre bar. Some of the singles are slightly more faded than others. All the chairs are sturdy. Another of the singles has a brace on one of the back legs and another has a loss to one of the back legs at the foot. Overall a good set of chairs that would benefit from some restoration and reupholstery.
