Pair of Victorian enamelled ruby glass lustres, with scalloped rims, decorated with floral garlands heightened with gilt, over two rows of droplets and a dome foot, height 36cm; also a smaller pair of Victorian ruby glass lustres, with a single row of droplets, 29cm (4)

Of the larger lustres, one has considerable wear to the gilt, both around the top, column and base. The other has wear to the gilt around the base. The one with the better gilding has a small inside rim chip to the crenellated top. There is the odd chip to the hanging lustres on both, and the one with the worst gilding has a tiny inside rim chip to the crenellated top.
Of the smaller lustres, one has been repaired just above the foot, with copper wire and is still wobbly. There is wear to the gilt on this one as well and chips to the droplet. The other one is in similar condition in terms of the gilding, much of the gilding has been lost and there are chips to the droplets. No further damage detected.
